Historic Norlina is conveniently located in northern, central part of North Carolina close to several major cities. Richmond is 99 miles northeast, Raleigh is 56 miles south and Roanoke Rapids is 33 miles east. Interstate 85 is only 3 miles away at exit 229, Interstate 95 is 30 miles east. Three major highways intersect in town; U.S. Highway 1, N.C. Highway 158 & N.C. Highway 401.

We are also located only 8 miles south of the great Kerr & Gaston Lakes Reservoirs, which not only provides our water supply, but is also a wonderful vacation resort. Our town is rich in history, with well established homes, quiet streets, and quant buildings from another century.
